Have you decided to add a new fireplace in one of the rooms of your house? Maybe you already have a fireplace in your family room, but you want one in your kitchen or in your bedroom. Or, it could be that this is your first fireplace. Whatever the case, maybe you are focusing on fireplace-themed presents to give to those on your Christmas list. If so, here are some ideas that might help you.

Of course, you could buy regular bellows and they would do the job just fine. However, consider buying handcrafted bellows for your spouse as his or her Christmas present. The bellows will be engineered in a way that they will deliver the right amount of air in order to get the fire in your new fireplace going.
Even though the handmade bellows will all have about the same shape, the design on the wooden bellows can be handcrafted in different ways. For instance, maybe you would like to special order wooden bellows that have your spouse's monogram as the design on the wood.
Another idea for the design of your handcrafted bellows is to select a rich walnut wood with a shell or an acorn design. Suede leather and brass nozzle and nails will add to the beauty of the bellows. No matter the design, the natural grain of the wood will be impressive. In fact, you might select bellows made of two different types of wood with no additional design.
Choose Mantel Gifts
Think of what would look attractive on the mantle of your fireplace. For instance, think of buying a beautiful clock for the center of the mantle. Another idea is to select brass or pewter candlesticks or different heights. Use the candlesticks by themselves or along with the clock.
Have you seen how some decorators place a painting right on the mantle instead of hanging it over the fireplace? Consider doing that as your gift, too. For example, maybe your spouse loves the beach and you have seen a beautiful painting of a sailboat. That might be the perfect decorative touch on the mantle of your fireplace. The handmade bellows along with a painting of a wood scene would be another way to decorate the mantle of your new fireplace.
Does your spouse collect things like beer steins or pottery? If so, think of buying a new item for her collection and move the collection to the mantle.
